My
adventure with Miniature Pinschers
started precisely in September 2006 when I went to the International
Dog Show in Wrocław for the very first time. My attention was mainly
attracted
by the “mini-version” of Dobermann Pinscher. Since then, I
got more
and more interested in this particular dog breed. I started to read a
lot, go
to dog shows and contact with the dog breeders. I am particularly
grateful and
appreciate especially the Ela and Jurek
Graboń Pin-Min Kennel for all their tips, words of advice, kindliness and
help in taking my first steps in the pinschers’ world.
There are three pinschers living with us at the moment
(so far:))
two females and a male.
ASTRA is my first female and also the very first
miniature pinscher. She was a planned dog awaited for a long time. She has been
with us since the 9th February 2007. We went all the way to the
other end of Poland to take her from Pin-Min Kennel in Jarosław. It seemed to
be very far away but now I know that it was worth it. I had in my mind neither
the dog shows nor the breeding at that stage; I just wanted a dog that I could
love and spoil. And this is the way that Astra is - she is very lovely and very
spoilt. She is a typical individualist and she decides when she wants to play
and cuddle. She is full of energy, cheerful and - most of all - she has got a
decisive and determined character.
BIANKA is Astra’s step-sister. She came to our home a
little bit by accident. We brought her from the Pin-Min Kennel on the 2nd June 2007. She is the typical
opposite of Astra. Bianka is a queen who loves to be in the centre of attention
and interest. She extorts everything from us with her sweet cute eyes and I
simply have no heart to say no or refuse her (and because of that I spoilt her
A LITTLE BIT). She is very affectionate and delicate.
VOLTI is my first male pinscher. We went all the way
to Hungary to get him. He has got a wonderful character. He is cheerful,
energetic and ubiquitous- he simply has to have everything under control. He
has got totally different character than Astra and Bianka, and he is even the
opposite of them both. He can bravely stand the “girls’” moods and - when there
is a need - he can show “who’s the man here.”
The next step was the official registration of the
kennel. The breeding Silesian Canis Minor
was registered in The Polish Kennel Club and FCI in October 2007.
Our pinschers
spend with us most of their time. We pay a lot of attention to their upbringing
and socialization.
